If you’re an employer,  you’ll need to register with HMRC for PAYE (Pay As You Earn) purposes.  PAYE is HMRC’s system of collecting income tax and national insurance from employees in your business. This means that you will need to deduct income tax and National Insurance contributions from your employees’ wages which are then directly paid to the HMRC.
