Conduct an Ideal Client Avatar (ICA) analysis
Firstly, you’ll want to conduct an ideal client avatar analysis, also referred to as an ICA, Customer Persona or Buyer Persona.
An ICA is a fictional and detailed representation of your ideal customer, which dives into characteristics, behaviors, preferences, and pain points of the people who are most likely to benefit from your products or services.
Creating an ICA involves gathering information to build a natural understanding of your target audience and by doing this you will have a better undering of what they can afford, what offers they will be interested in and generally what they are willing to pay for a service.
The information that an ICA will include will be:
Age, Gender, Location, Occupation, Level of income, Family status and Education.
Values, Beliefs, Attitudes, Interests, Hobbies, Lifestyle choices, and Personality traits.
- Challenges and Pain Points:
These refer to the problems that your ideal client faces and the obstacles they need.
- Goals and Aspirations:
This is what your ideal client hopes to achieve, both short and long term.
- Buying Behavior:
How do your ideal clients make their purchasing decisions? Where do they research products and services? What influences their buying choices?
- Communication Preferences:
This refers to the channels they use for information, their preferred communication style and the type of content they engage with.
Common objections or concerns they may have about your offers.
- Feedback and Testimonials:
Insights from current clients that can help you understand their experiences and needs.
